First Express Entry occupational category draw after the work experience requirement has changed
By Anne Lui, founder and principal consultant of Hopeway Immigration
IRCC invited 4000 healthcare and social services candidates in the Express Entry pool who have a CRS score of 467 points and above to apply for permanent residence. This has brought the total number of ITAs given out in February 2026 to 19,593, or a total of 34,848 since the beginning of 2026.
It is worth noting that the candidates are required to have at least one year of full-time work experience within the previous 3 years or the equivalent in part-time work in one of the occupations listed below. This is a change from the previous requirement of having only 6 months of full-time work experience in the occupations in the past 3 years.
If you have got an ITA and are seeking professional help, or you would like guidance to submit an Express Entry profile, Hopeway Immigration is a trustworthy licensed immigration consultant led by a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant who have experience and strong track record assisting skilled professionals to apply for permanent residence.
